Adding Vibrancy To Your Home Can be A Great Morale Booster!

We definitely need cheering up after the last couple of weeks bad weather causing many people to arrive home late, cold, tired and thoroughly fed up!

What could lift your spirits more than walking into your home and being greeted by some vibrant colour which is typically associated with the warmer months!

Making the most of the space you have is fundamental if you want to love the home you are in. If you have a home which has small rooms it can sometimes be very difficult to juggle where you place your furniture so that it doesn’t interfere with opening doors or get in the way of high traffic areas.

A great way to overcome this, particularly if you have a lounge separated from the dining room with doors, is to remove the doors entirely and replace them with curtains. Not only will this free up more space for your furniture, it also retains the ability for you to still have two completely separate rooms when you need to.

Add vibrant colours into your home!

Add vibrant colours into your home!

As neon colours are in trend this year, replacing internal doors with vibrant raspberry pink curtains can create a stunning interior, particularly when teamed and coordinated with white or soft grey. Having matching tiebacks enables you to make a frame effect leading the eye from one room to the other when the curtains are swept back from the centre and held in place with tiebacks.

Of course if pink is not your colour you can use the same principle with any colour you like which either matches existing colours within your rooms, or use as an accent colour to inject some vibrancy, and chic styling into your home.

This type of interior design style is very easy to replicate, you simply need either a curtain track. if you are going to use ready made curtains with a traditional 3 inch heading, or opt for curtain poles if you are using either tab top or eyelets curtains. The curtain pole can be either made from wood or metal depending on your overall interior design scheme.

Many new homes have glass panelled doors separating lounges and dining rooms, if you don’t want to remove the doors, or you can’t because you live in a rented home, you can still use this idea. It will not only make each room individual when needed, it can also be used to create focal points and reduce the ‘tunnel effect’ which many modern houses have.
